Eutectic Gallery seeks applicants for Women of Woodfire, a juried and invitational exhibition of artists identifying as women who have devoted their careers to incorporating wood firing into their ceramic practice.
Taking place at Eutectic Gallery from June 4 - 26, 2021, and in collaboration with co-organizers Lindsay Oesterritter and Careen Stoll, Women of Woodfire is the second iteration of an ongoing visual conversation between established and rising voices in the field, showcasing innovative techniques and diverse perspectives. This exhibition coincides with the Northwest Woodfire Conference taking place in Newberg, Oregon June 3 - 5, 2021, and will be juried by Eutectic’s Director and co-owner, Brett Binford.
Entry deadline is 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST), December 31, 2020.
Eligibility: Open to all artists 18+ identifying as female living within the United States and Canada. Work must be at least 70% ceramic fired in a wood-fueled kiln and completed within the last three years. Please indicate on the image list any installation instructions. Specialty hardware or accessories must be provided by the artist.

Images of 3 - 12 pieces (submit multiple views of pieces, if needed)
Images must be formatted JPEG or JPG, under 5MB with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. File names should include your last name and the title of the artwork in the following format: “Lastname_Title.jpg”.
All images should accurately reflect the work submitted and works must be available for exhibition.
By submitting an application, the artist agrees to the gallery's use of images for promotional purposes.

Shipping: Shipping timelines, along with other collateral needs, will be communicated along with notification of acceptance. The artist is responsible for all costs associated with shipping accepted works to the gallery. After the end of the consignment term (see below), the Gallery will cover any shipping expenses to return unsold work to the artist.
Consignment: Works shipped to the gallery will be consigned with Eutectic through 90 days after the close of the exhibition. Works will be consigned under Eutectic’s Exhibition Consignment Agreement, which will be distributed to all participating artists with the letter of acceptance.
Sales: Eutectic Gallery retains a 50% commission on works sold.. Works not for sale should be marked NFS on the image list. Payment to artists for artwork sales will be issued by Eutectic Gallery around the 15th of the month after the sale is completed.
