Dr Alan Hart 1890-1962
A physician, researcher, writer and novelist, Alan Hart pioneered the use of x-ray photography in detecting tuberculosis. Hart was one of the first trans men in the United States to undergo a hysterectomy. His writing was progressive for its time and contained autobiographical themes that included medicine and sexuality. Medical researchers have attributed Hart’s innovations as “saving countless lives”, and his methods are still the gold standard for tuberculosis detection.
Rufous Hummingbird populations have declined by approximately 2% per year resulting in a cumulative decline of about 67% between 1966 and 2019.
